As a Security Presales Engineer with our sales organisation, you'll be working closely with the sales team to provide solutions to key customers. With the ability to liaise at C- Level, you'll evangelize our portfolio and help to move the business forward with a consultative approach to the sales process. With a strong technical focus, you'll provide the insight necessary for the customer to understand how we can solve their security problems.

You’ll be working across Platin Blisim Enterprise and Gov’t accounts partnering with sales to drive revenue. Building relationships with the sales account reps is key to ensure deals are technically closed in time and that our solutions are positioned effectively to potential customers.


About The Role

  • You will be responsible for technical pre-sales support for a variety of security products and services.
  • As a Pre Sales Technical Consultant, you will need to be articulate, and be in a position to demonstrate solutions to ensure our bid is in line with our competitors in the market.
  • Although this role is full-time job, there may be a requirement for you to be occasionally on-site, completing project work where your key area of responsibility is your Pre Sales role.
  • Understanding customer IT/Security infrastructure and business requirements
  • Strategic solution selling
  • Delivering presentations on solutions to potential and existing customers
  • Solution demonstration and proof of understanding
  • Creating proposals for business solutions with sales team
  • Dealing with RFP(Request for Pricing)/RFI (Request for Information)
  • Assisting with sales in technical qualification during the qualifying process
  • Keeping up to date on the new products/ technologies and upgrades available as well as conducting routine training sessions on this to the sales team.
  • Conduct competitor’s product analysis


  • Previous experience completing presales activities is highly beneficial, if not, a candidate with the right technical skills or right aptitude for presales will still be considered
  • As a Presales Technical Consultant, you will already have obtained in-depth knowledge and interest of various security tecnologies  such as; EDR, APT, Web Security, Vulnerability Management, NGFW, Database Security, Cyber Threat Intelligence, Threat Hunting.
  • The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of business process understanding, listening, technical design, and communication skills
